Dr. Daniel Barwick
Director of Institutional Advancement
Dr. Daniel Barwick, director of institutional advancement, has been a member of the Alfred State College family for 12 years, and also holds the rank of associate professor of philosophy.
During his time at Alfred State, Barwick has held a number of administrative roles, including honors program coordinator, coordinator of assessment, interim director of corporate relations, interim director of development, and director of development. He was the first SUNY Provost Fellow, and also served as an academic policy and planning evaluation associate for the SUNY system. Barwick has remained an active teacher and scholar, publishing frequently.
Barwick holds a PhD in philosophy from the State University of New York at Buffalo, an MA in philosophy from the University of Iowa, and a BA from the State University of New York at Geneseo, also in philosophy. He has also completed the CASE Summer Institute in Educational Fundraising at Dartmouth College, and the Asheville Institute on General Education.
